while on the way home from Tampines this morning, 65 passed by the Alkaff Mosque, & snaking from the entrance was a long line of boys/men walking slowly towards the entrance from the bus stop, a mixed bunch of stereotypes - the mats, the religious ones with their full baju melayu & songkok, old men in flower shirts & aviators, even six year old boys in their Superman tshirts.

the bus went round the bend, the doors to the mosque were wide open, inside was full up to the corners, till people had set out big mats outside to accomodate the oncoming crowd.

it's things like these i witness that remind me how lovely a place the world can be, afterall.
