i'm feeling so fucking fulfilled, its a good thing.
oh.my.god. do you remember those cartoons you used to watch on the tube when you were still a kid, & sprawled on the living room floor or couch, oblivious to anything else but the 2D characters running around on tv?
man, those were the
best! especially cartoons of superheroes, like superman or batman, etc. & i mean the original versions, none of the "evolution" series they come up with nowadays. & i'm talking about the drawn cartoons, not the ones that use 3D or computer effects to create the backgrounds. those are just so unoriginal.
one of my favourites was
Captain Planet, do you guys remember the series?? the five teenagers running around to save the world from pollution, using their rings to summon one
damn fine guy with the powers of earth, fire, wind, water & heart, & then his voice will boom out loud "
By your powers combined, I am.. CAPTAIN PLANET!"

he was probably the hottest cartoon superhero on tv that time. you gotta admit. even beats young Robin in his tight green spandex. haha.
i think captain planet was a very meaningful cartoon. it teaches even kids about the bads of pollution at a very young age. unlike cartoons with absolutely no meaning, bland humour, & horrendous characteristics. cartoons nowadays are either too flat, or too computerised. they lost the classic touch cartoons once had. bleah.
moment of nostalgia floating on, i went for
The WestSide Story yesterday at
SRT. i know, i ask myself repeatedly "
why the hell do i go for all ACJC plays?" right? but i guess you can credit
Nur Aini for that
(read: extortion - obligations for being a sister). thank god this was the last play. i'm flat broke. this comes outta my allowance, mind you.

I KNOW..
32 FREAKING BUCKS! mainly cos they have to pay for the royalties & all for using the Westside script, which i heard took up thousands of dollars. & $32 was only for the matinees in the afternoon okay. the night shows were $52, & they made it some glitzy event that you have to dress up for. so not worth my money, i'm not that rich.
play was good, to a certain extent. sorry, i had very high expectations for the play (hello, it should be worth my money) cos i compared it alot to the original (movie, not play) & they didn't quite live up to it. i thought
Tony & Maria could've been played better, but they were definitely picked probably cos of their voice. their singing was phenomenal. a big applause for them.
i thought some of their acting was done abit extra, but the girl who played
Anita was good. & the guy who played
Riff? he overdone it. i didn't quite like him, sorry.
hmm the only people who'd get what i'm saying is probably only
Kerri & Nuraini. haha. met
Sarah-ann there too. & some other "hi & bye" people.
couldn't take pictures. it was totally prohibited, cos of the name of the play & their rights. i think doing the play on its 50th anniversary was a good touch though.
moved on with my six inches to
Snam's birthday dinner at Pasir Ris after that. i know, what was i thinking, waddling around in six inches. i'm not sure, i was probably crazy. but i guess we all suffer in the name of looking good right?
oh & did i say dinner?
scratch that. it was like a
kenduri - alot of (oily, haha) food, with tables outside, & mats for everyone to sit on. something neither me,
Nirosha nor
Priya expected. haha. but it was fun! finally saw Snam after eons & she's looking hot :) we didn't really know anyone there so it was abit weird but
Afiqah & Nashitah came after so it was aight.
the cake! it looked really goood. sad thing was that it was chocolate. Snam's favourite, but i'm not a fan of anything chocolate except the real thing. sorry, babe. but the food there was yum. haven't eaten malay food in like ages.

happy birthday gorgeous! <3 :D
sorry for the lack of pictures. more from Snam's camera will be up soon, when i get my hands on them.
oh i hate having cravings. cos i can't stop thinking about them till i get them, which can be prove to be a very bad thing (pointing out the gain of weight) & you know i'm very lazy right. haha. dammit, learn some self control nurul.
like today, i craved cheese fries. i don't mean the KFC one, i mean like big juicy chunks of potato chips with cheese overload. & Nur Aini craved for her chocolate shake from Billy Bombers. so why not hey.

delightfully sinful. best not to think about the calories when consuming. the fries were chunky, & the cheese was melted
everywhere, soaking the fries till even the paper wrapping was soaked. & the added salsa is delish. not too sour, not too spicy but just right. highly recommended when you're not hungry, but still don't mind a dish.
though i didn't finish it cos i got sick of the cheese. i won't be seeing cheese on my dinner plate anytime soon i bet.

& some
Dr Pepper to go along wouldn't hurt that much. except its like 150 calories for 355ml. haha. but hey, you can't get it anywhere in Singapore & i was ecstatic when i first had it at Billy Bomber's a coupla years back.
so yeah, finally caught up with Nur Aini for abit. so much happening in both our lives, that its best to share your plate with someone else. :) walked from dhoby ghaut to city hall to marina square to the bus stop & slept on the way home.
it's moments like these that come so infrequently, that you just can't help but treasure 'em.
aight i'm gonna go watch movies now. i'm sucking up the remainder of my freedom as much as i can before it.. sigh, ends.
